Title: How to prune blueberries so that they continue to produce fruit next year
Post by: strawberry1 on July 13, 2013, 14:50:12
My three bluecrop are all in large pots and two are bearing heavily, one slightly. I have netted the two. I can prune most other fruits successfully but am not sure about the blueberries, which have to remain in pots as the local soil is shiny clay, which is completely unsuitable for blueberries. Whole branch out? Take 1/3 off? Take a smidgen off? etc Not sure at all

You should not need to prune blueberries at all or just annual removal of any dead or damage 'bits' is only pruning that is necessary or needed for their 'happiness'.
That's is the best thing about them them....sooo easy to look after :icon_cheers: ..just let them grow and crop :icon_cheers:
