What can I plant in my bottomless dustbins once I harvest my first early potatoes.  All ideas welcome.

Would it be okay to put in carrots as I put loads of manure in the bins for the spuds?

Carrots do not like acitity also if the manure is not broken down they will fork riddled soil would do, but soil and sharp sand mixid and riddled would be even better
