Picked the first ripe Minibel tomato today.
My husband ate it and said it was 'alright' but not as nice as Sungold.
But I knew he'd say that.
Lucky you, mine are still tiny :toothy10:

Manics, the plant is tiny with probably more tomatoes than leaves.
The photo shows it a few days ago before the tomato was fully ripe.

Your tommy looked delightful Betty,we've got .....first in the field bush variety with the odd marbles on em but only flowers on all others....enjoy your crop.

Well done Betty, mine are miles behind.
Congratulations Squash :blob7: maybe next year YOU will enjoy the first tomato.
Mine are well behind too. Enjoy - the picture of the nearly ripe one on the plant shows that the second one hasn't long to go either.
Minibel are great aren't they, mine are in their final pots outdoors covered in fruit but not ripe yet. I grow a lot of these to sell at the lottie plant sale, they always sell out!
Why the gloves to pick one tom??

Deb, I've got quite a few decent sized plants that I am giving to Cats Protection
to sell at their fund-raising event in 5 weeks time. They should be full of ripe tomatoes
by then.
Minibel are amazing how quickly they grow in a stunted sort of way. (if that makes sense)
