I need opinions on how to do this in the fairest way please -
7 people on our site want bales of straw (20 bales in total).
The orders are for 5 bales, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 1
The straw costs £3.25 per bale plus £6 delivery charge.
Is it better to
a) divide the £6 delivery between the 7 people, which would be
about 86p each person
or
b) divide the £6 between the 20 bales, making 30p extra per bale of straw.
What would you do?
I would divide it between the cost of the bales,so that them who want more, pay more, they are all still getting the bales quite cheap,i would be very happy to pay the extra 30p per bale if I was ordering 4 or 5,even if you only order 1 bale it is good value

I agree ,per bale
b looks the best, and fairest way of doing things.
Per bale is the simplest, so another vote for option b.
Thanks everyone - option B it is!
