It looks very much like a tomatillo plant to me. And they're edible :blob7:
I agree with Squeezyjohn, looks like a tomatillo to me too :happy7: They don't self-pollinate, so you'll need another plant or two or a neighbour growing one nearby.
Thanks Guys, that makes sense.
They are on a friends plot, it's a case of lost labels, but she swears that they must be peppers or aubergines, as those were the seeds sown.
When I see her next I will ask if she has ever tried tomatillo and see if the penny drops.
There are 3 plants so that is fine for the pollination.
