Title: Cut and Come Again Salads/stirfry veggies
Post by: sleepymrsp on June 09, 2013, 19:59:11
Things are growing but we could really use some things which will grow really quickly. I've had a lot of success with cut and come again salad leaves in the past and was wondering if anyone recommended any particular seeds/varieties. In fact any tips about things which grow quickly from seed would be welcome.

I'm not very good with salad leaves, but rocket does well for me, especially wild rocket.

Salad bowl, either red or green, is the classic cut and come again variety and it does grow quickly too.

I just mixed assorted salady things together (seed already sold as mixed salad) with some lollo rosso and misticanza.... been great in big pots adn troughs, just moving from GH to outdoors now.... but had loads of what would be horribly expensive poncy salad so far.... technique of using deep pots in the GH has also worked for radishes and carrots...

I'm a fan of wrinkle crinkle cress.
