Title: Morrisons Bargain!
Post by: Doris_Pinks on March 11, 2005, 11:55:05
Following on from the Lidls thread, here is the £20 Morrisons "greenhouse". A BARGAIN at £20 I reckon!
It even has tent pegs to secure it to the ground, and guy ropes to hopefully stop it blowing away!!
Hopefully will have lots more tomatoes growing this year thanks to this ;D
CC you got yours up yet??

looks good DP, certainly for £20. morrisons is our weekly shop destination, so will check out their 'seasonal' aisle.
what size is it by the way? co-op had a walk in one about 2 ft deep but about 7 ft tall for £20, but that looks bigger.

I will go down the garden with my trusty tape measure and get back to you Kerry!

Judging from the photo, it looks about 6ft x 4 ft, which is quite respectable.

I have just checked at our local Morrisons, but they haven't got any in yet, although they think they will get some soon, as they had them last year . . .
Patience has never been my strong point!

You are quite right Derek! 4x6 it is! They only have a couple left at our Morrisons.

DP

I put a thread on "growing under glass" approx three weeks ago entitled "greenhouse and groceries" 'cos I'd seen this greenhouse in my local morrison's.

I bought one at the time but due to my shifts it's still in it's box.   The plan (and it's a cunning one) is to put it together next week & then (finally) start sowing things for this year.

thanks-  6x4 for £20=excellent value  - looks sturdier than the one in the co-op. shall suggest it to my neighbour-it was he who was looking at buying.
1st greenhouse and 69 years young at end of this month. i shall convert him to be as enthusiastic as me yet!!
