Beautiful show, such a shame it's such a short season, but what a lovely crop when it all comes together.

My plums, pears and peach have finished now...but they would just have got wasted when apple blossom is out...they cannot compete.
If even half of the flowers turn into fruit..I'll be very busy thinning some fruits.. :BangHead: I don't usually do it with big trees...but if I must, ladders it will be..

Apple blossom is my favourite of all. Colour, form, smell, and potential - my trees are full this year, I am spending ages just standing around drinking it all in.

I don't think we can thin the big apple tree, it's 35' wide and 20' tall, just think of all that apple juice, crumbles and crisp, sweet apples straight off the tree. The pear, plum and peach are at the plot  :happy7:

I agree, it's so beautiful and it even smells nice.

Ours was lovely last week, but most of it has fallen off now.  Now we will have to wait and see if the furit has set. It was so frustrating watching so much just fall away last year.
