I currently have a very big flea problem in the allotment and would like to know whats the best way to kill them it all started with my chicken shed which has now gone but the fleas haven't at the moment I don't even want to go down there as every time I do im getting covered in fleas any ideas would be help thankyou
Darren have you got rid of any left over bedding materials? We were using hemcore & we got bitten terribly from something in it. Just a thought.
all the bedding and most of the shed has been burned about 3 weeks ago but there still there and see them on my legs when im down there its very annoying because my kids like coming down allotment but I cant take them at the moment to be honest I don't even want to be there
There was a similar problem posted about last year but I think it was later on in the year though. I seem to remember it was Goodlife who found the info & there was something on Countryfile about it too. It was a mite of some sort I think.
Darren I've just done a search but can't do links :BangHead:. Have a look at harvest mites & see what you think.
thank you will have a look
I couldn't find anything when searched but found a product called diatomaceous earth which a few sites say to use so will give that ago
