There are lots of these trees in out local park, anyone know what it is?

It's possibly a wild cherry -

Those inflorescences don't look right for cherry.

Suprisingly it is a type of wild cherry, known in some parts of the country as the Bird Cherry. Rock hard fruits that are loved by birds.
