Can I just ask folks if their local recycle picks up green waste?
hedge trimmings, sticks and such like?
And if so what systems are in place, like how do they collect?
wheelie bins or sacks or what?
I do what I can in 2 daleks but theres too much if you do big jobs
cheers x
green bags are collected from the curb. I don't no how often as they seem to be outside some houses for days. As long as its cut up small they take anything that can be composted. Compost all my waste at home or on my plot.
I think there are different collection systems in different areas.
Here in Erewash Council there is a fortnightly collection during 9 months of the year
we have a pay for service that collects every two weeks either in wheelie bin or large green bags depending on what you pay for.
one other local council does one-fill paper bags at £1 per bag.
other than that it's take it to your local rubbish dump
we get our wheelie collected fornightly for 9 months of the year, there is talk of charging £30 a year for this service in future years.
We get a green wheelie bin collection every 2 weeks.
