Title: Funny, maddening or something to cry for?
Post by: goodlife on May 07, 2013, 18:37:54
This our allotment gate...and as you see left side of the gate there is bit of turf and about 4" of it up to the gate post has been killed off with weedkiller by our neighbour. We set the piece of turf last year there because we like to have our hedge bottoms green..and our neighbour don't..but what we did for to respect her side of the boundary (halfway from the middle of the hedge)..we have kept that bit mowed so not a blade of grass grow over the edge to her side.
And all of the sudden she got very exited with bottle of weedkiller and has been spraying bits and bobs all over the avenue..and none of it even have any weeds on it..just turf! :BangHead:
Why do some people have to be so difficult?..that bit of turf doesn't make her life difficult at all..her gate is far away from the spot anyway.

So...we waited her to go home and done bit of turfing :icon_cheers:
Being as stubborn as she is we cannot let her rule the allotments as she wants it :glasses9:
..and we even made the gateway better for us..and painted the little 'post' with white marker so she doesn't accidentally bang her toes/forehead on it when foraging the weeds under the hedge :angel11:

I really don't see why you were soooooooo considerate, she could bang her toe & no one would feel sorry for her. She needs to take a chill pill :BangHead:. So early in the season too, it could be a long year.

Yes..it will be loooong year and I suspect this is not end of it...that's why I took all the photos so once/if it all kicks off..I've got evidence of her activities. She must be bored with her life and finding little else to do other wise.. :tongue2:
Green hedge bottoms are so easy..we just run mower from one end of the boundary to other and job is done!..all nice and tidy :icon_cheers:

Uhh...I might have idea..but I suspect the reality is even worst. We've had some issues before with them and she has tried to put other people right too..so she is not in very good books generally. Kind of sad..but she has brought it on herself.
We've barely spoken to each other for 2 years after last 'incident' and it has worked well..its worked in the principal "if she has something to say I talk back, but otherwise I don't have a need to talk to her"..
They certainly are individual personalities on the other side of the hedge...well..suppose they could say same about us... :glasses9:

At  one time the entire track was sprayed with weedkiller by some one on the committee. It was terrible in winter and turned into a slippy, muddy mess. It's taken years to get it ok again and ther grass now looks nice.
I do not understand some people!
