Visited the top of my plot today to discover setts planted in early February are up! About 1" above the overall surface.
A bl**&y mole has cruised along the surface raising the rows about the diameter of a mole. No molehills, just a loose line. Guess he wont go deep for fear of drowning. What do we know about moles? Any fixes in this case?
My Shallots at my plot are all shooting the onions shouldn't be far behind. :toothy10:
Mines going great guns down here in the not so sunny and cold cornwall
Some of my onions are showing but no sign of those I sowed first. They are there though as I had a look for them and dug one up. No sign of my garlic though, but on further investigation, they are still there and the bulbs are looking healthy still.
Mine are up which is a surprise as they only went in 2 weeks ago :)
Mine are up too...they went in about 3 weeks ago...in fact they are all about 3 inches tall now!
Moles, we had em a few years ago..I bought a Mole detterent that is battery run , you push the tube into the soil and it vibrates at intervals ....they definitely do not like it.they fled sharpish...
I`ve got moles in my lotty what i did was too buy kids cheap wind mills from the pound shop and placed them in the runs or hills
It is also aid that burying a bottle in the run/hill upright with an open neck makes a sound they don't like and they scarper not tried that one myself though..
