Title: Cool allotments book
Post by: caroline7758 on April 14, 2013, 10:37:48
Just wondered in any A4A members feature in this book?

Sorry, having problems with hyperlinks this weekend for some reason.

Yes!
Beyda and her grandson Arif from Northern Cyprus and Teresinha from Brazil.

I was there when Lia came to our allotments and Beyda had made some
stuffed vine leaves for us, there is a photo in the book. Unfortunately I
couldn't eat them because they had meat in, but Lia and Mark the photographer
enjoyed them.

Teresinha grows plants to use as dye.

I have had a quick look through the book but haven't got a copy of my
own yet.

The Uplands allotments in Birmingham are also featured.

All who took part have been invited to the book launch in London this Tuesday and
I think Beyda and Arif will be going.

It really is a lovely book.

Can't get that link to work for some reason? Just bought a copy via Amazon, here is the link for that, but if you click through A4A the site will get a percentage..

I got this book from my daughter for my birthday and after visiting Walsall Road on the meet last week I went back to it with renewed interest to read about the plotholders who featured in it, so thought I'd bump this up.
