Title: That time of year.
Post by: grannyjanny on April 06, 2013, 18:50:12
It's happened, the first time this year our 4 little bantam ladies have each layed an egg. Didn't we know it, the noise was unbelievable but lovely. Always such a welcome sound. I love it :icon_cheers:.

Congratulations!
I thought our egg production was getting off to a slow start until today when I found a Bantam sitting on a clutch like she is glued to it.
Spring is springing all right! :-)

I think bantams are broody. We have Mother & her 3 daughters, the first 3 years Mother was forever sitting indoors but last year one of her girls followed suit. If it carries again this year I.all get some pot eggs or golf balls for them.

Well, I am well & truly gobsmacked, they have only gone & done it again :icon_cheers:. An egg off all 6 today & even the Speckeldy's got in on the noise act. People were walking past the house staring :drunken_smilie:. I wonder if it's because they love their eglu?
