Not just me then!! :toothy10:

I got a shock too a few weeks back! So much for the money invested in 'energy saving' products - any saving is counteracted by price increases - u cannot chuffin' win!! :BangHead: :BangHead:

Solar panels on every roof and wind turbines at the bottom of every garden - a vision of the future methinks!! :tongue3:

Figures out today in Belgium state that this winter has been 12% colder than an average winter and is also going on longer.  This, combined with high prices for gas just now, is going to hit a lot of pockets when people get their annual statement and adjusted bills.    They're averaged out over 12 months here and then assessed for the need to increase the monthly payments.

I still pay quarterly, the bill comes just at the time when we do not have council tax payments.   I found with the smoothed out payments that much of the time I was paying in advance of usage because they estimated my winter use and then charged me all through the previous summer.

Please do not hate me but................
When we include the winter fuel payment (Mr PKL) and the Feed it tarrif  payments we do pay anything for fuel now!
Not everyone would want to be quite as frugal as we are, and we did fork out a lot for the panels. It can be done but its not for everyone.

We pay £100 per month but were still £260 in debit. Having said that we did change the boiler 31/2 years ago & at that time it was £73 per month just for the gas + £26 for the insurance. I dread to think what we would be paying if we hadn't changed boiler.
