Title: Leggy petunia seedlings
Post by: bluecar on March 10, 2013, 09:06:57
Hello all.

I started some petunias in a heated propagator.

Overnight they have developed into very frail looking leggy seedlings. Should I try potting them on and bury them to the top leaves?

Regards

Bluecar

I think we are all to eager to get things going, but for me it is too soon. Everything will go leggy if not enough light. I would try planting them in toilet tubes or like you said up to leaf. Nothing to loss. Goodluck. Ann

Apologies Ann - I missed this post.

For the moment I have moved them to a cool room and the growth has very much stopped, but they all seem okay. I can't safely get at the compost until all the white stuff has gone. I'll try doing as you say and hope they develop onto healthy plants.
