Title: S E Essex Potato Day
Post by: Jeanbean on February 23, 2013, 13:15:22
Hi All
Just back from the third year visit to the SE Essex potato day. Must say it is well worth going there to buy your spuds. Some old varieties, some new varieties and even some blue varieties-none borrowed though.  Managed to pick up 50 spuds to chit and so now I know the season is starting.  :blob7:

First job to find somewhere to chit them out of the way of a certain little ladies' way. Come on weather pick up bit to give us a fighting chance. :toothy10:

Hi
I agree potato days are great events
Keep us updated with how some of the unusual varieties get on- especially the blue ones which have always intrigued me
I'm doing vitelotte and purple majesty this year.
