Title: Penquins
Post by: Borlotti on February 12, 2013, 12:31:21
Anyone see the programme on TV last night.  Really enjoyed it, animals are so wonderful. Very clever to put a camera in a dummy penquin.  Poor penquin that got left behind, but he caught up in the end, nearly had me in tears and all that climbing up rocks and then getting swept into the sea again.  The females were cleverer came when the tide was out.

I watched it this afternoon as I had recorded it.  A wonderful programme.

I liked the bit when the male penguin had thought his partner was not coming back and he started making advances to the Camera penguin.  The partner returned though and had a good go at the artificial penguin by knocking it over.

I thought it might be just another penguin programme but it was not like the usual run of the mill programmes.  I didn't know about the rock climbing penguins, mountaineering up the cliffs and certainly didn't know that some species lived in a dessert and raised their eggs in underground burrows.

Definitely worth downloading if you missed it.

Fantastic.  I nearly wet myself laughing at the robot ones.

And I have learnt how to spell Penguins (silly me).  Spelling was never my strong point.  :sunny: :sunny:

I love penguin documentaries but this one is one of the best.
