Title: Calabrese seedlings are go.
Post by: Digeroo on February 02, 2013, 10:13:22
Last year I managed to sow them just before a grey patch and they all went leggy.  :BangHead:

This year I have hit the jackpot, because I have seedlings in 11 out of 12 modules just broken the surface and joy o joys today is forecast for a full day of sunshine.    :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers:  Just seen no 12. :blob7:

Previous year I had problems with damping off.  Not clear why that suddenly happens.  Any advise for prevention would be welcome.

Let the air circulate. Damping off is a fungus, and it thrives in warm damp conditions. If you're worried, you could try dosing the seedlings with fungicide.

At the moment they are on the window sill enjoying a sun bathe.

It is very difficult to know when to plant seeds when you need a nice day about 5-6 days after sowing.  Sown some more today, hoping I have got it right.  Time will tell.
