Hi all, been offline a bit. I had a rather spectacular fall off my bike and broke my right arm in 2 places. Had to get a metal plate put in, etc, bionic woman now. Cast up to top of arm.... anyway no gardening until March at least, kids will have to help me plnt the onions and broadies!!! Hope this is last of series of 3 after last year's stolen car and stolen smartphone. Now it can't really get much worse!!! Can type a bit with left hand but it is slow going! anyway cheers me up to get back on A4A and read the chat!!!
The one armed woman
Oh no poor you! I broke my ankle once and that was bad enough and you are right about things seeming to happen in 3's just keep telling yourself the run is over now. Nothing wrong in positive thought
marg
I'm glad you are on the mend,I also broke my right wrist in 3 places before Xmas,I worked for 3 days early in the new year, with a little pain at the back of my Left knee and just above the ankle,I went for a x ray after my last shift only to find that i had broken my leg in them 2 places, potted up from toes to hip, hopefully it will be off in 2 to 3 weeks so i can start gardening again, still got lots of things to do in the greenhouse though, seeds to plant, cuttings from my beloved fuchsias etc.All the best on a quick recovery.
You folks do make me chuckle......
I salute your absolute determination and drive to get over your broken bones and straight back to the garden. :icon_cheers:
Its good to hear you are both on the mend...
Still chuckling though...
Wow, lots of broken bones on here, Hoping for a quick recovery to you all :happy7:
 I do wish you both a very speedy recovery. Do take care the 1st time you garden.....
Ouch both!!! Yes it is absolutely vital that you recover fast before the main growing season begins.
take it easy and get help with the early garden jobs.
Good luck to both for a speedy and complete recovery with all the physio you need to get things working again. I'm in a similar boat after reconstructive surgery on my digging foot. No gardening till April a the earliest and then I'm hoping to have the other foot done but i'll schedule in a week for garden blitzing if I can.
Really sorry to hear about all the broken bones - not much fun, and really frustrating when you want to get going in the garden soon. At least you should be able to get all the physic you need here, Antipodes. Good luck for the rest of 2013!
Do look after yourselves folks. Hope you can get back gardening soon.
Sorry to hear that antipodes..
I have just had a week op to remove a chronic abscess. Nothing too hectic but in er.. ahem a personal place! Nothing serious but realy annoying as they leave the wound open to heal slowly so I cant move about much. Should be back in action for March and the start of the season proper but have got some chilis and onions on - slowly!
At least I can work and type - even though sitting on one cheek makes my back ache!
Sending lots of good healing vibes to all of you!
Oh dear! Hope you all mend fast people! Are we sure this gardening lark is good for the health? :tongue3: :toothy10:
Best wishes to you all :toothy10:
Oh my goodness, how awful for you, just got to get yourselves healed quickly.. do as you are told and be patient LOL
Good wishes from accross the pond.
