I went to the site today after hearing a bit of second hand rumours, a sad sight met me with burnt down sheds and others clearing their tools and taking them home before they suffer the same fate.
The shop had been broken into and another outbuilding had been set alight.
I put some of my tools in my car and took them home.
Not a good day on the lottie. :BangHead:
That is just so totally out of order. I just wish the *fatherless children* would spill some of their accelerant over themselves and do us all a favour
I can not understand such mindless activity. Hopefully they will get their just rewards.
Regards
Bluecar
So sorry to hear that Kev :angry8:
:sad10: So sorry :sad10:
So sorry Kev! I can only hope the police catch up with them!
Pescador - * fatherless children* you know who did it then???!!!!!???
Cheers all, the police were parked on site when I got there but left before I left, showing a presence they said. :BangHead:
:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
Stupid people- sorry for your allotment mates Kev, and that they do not come back. (ETA that the vandals do not come back)
Aw Kev so sorry ,my OH just said we get it if they nicked the cabbages but to just burn, destroy stuff mindless.
I've never got vandalism :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
So sorry to hear this Kev. :sad10:
Sad to hear your news KEV hope the law catches up with them :BangHead:
So sad when one or two bad apples ruin it for everyone. Very sorry for everyone's loss.
Sorry this has happened - feeling very angry about this. How can they do this and who is doing this? Hope the law catches up with whoever.
Oh! This is just so sad ! Why did no one call the fire-brigade and the police ? Some one MUST have seen the flames and what was going on here ?
Sad but common. Last year 10 sheds were burnt to the ground, we think by the quad/trail bike riders that ride around the prairie next to teh gardens making our lives a misery, they got dobbed into the cops and cautioned (it's a public park and no vehicles allowed). So we think it was revenge.
Council put up new sheds eventually and insurance paid for new tools but it's a sad thing all round. Sorry to hear you have had the same trouble kev.
The old bill were there again today, they have an idea who's doing it but say they have to catch them, I've not got all the facts yet fire-brigade etc. :BangHead:
I feel sooooo sorry for you all. Our site regularly has break ins, chooks released and broken into, drug taking etc. Just make sure you report every incident to the police.
Like you said, Its not nice but we would prefer it if veg was taken to eat rather than all the senseless damage.
So sorry to hear about this, Kev. It leaves you with a real bad taste in your mouth.
Really feel for you and fellow plotholders. These people are cowards and deserve all they get. Let's hope the police mange to catch them before they cause any more upset. Something like this takes the joy out of an allotment. Chins up to you all. Jeanbean
Sorry to hear about this, Kev, Does'nt seem like ordinary vandalism, criminal damage, more like it. Hope they catch them, they should make them put it all right
awful awful sorry to hear such a violation :(
Sorry to hear about this. It is so upsetting when someone invades your special space. I do hope that the police catch them so it will not happen again.
This is so upsetting for all the lotty holders ,mindless vandilism I hope they are caught and are givin a good sentence nothing but bloody B------s doing this sorry Kev .
Well it made the headlines in the local rag and the local MP's got involved now. :drunken_smilie:
Shocking news. I know it easy to say, but don't let the b*****ds grind you down and ruin the enjoyment that people get out of the site.
Now another report of mindless vandalism
ARSONISTS went on a wrecking spree – torching 10 allotment plots on two different sites just minutes apart.

And elsewhere - http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Yobs-destroy-allotments/story-18247513-detail/story.html#axzz2LtxPi4tZ
Seems an endless spate this winter.
I hope this does not lead to a big decline in allotment use again.
So sad to hear this horror story - in our area the police seem helpless to do anything.
I've experienced theft (mega) and sabotage of Blueberry Bush and it's soooo distressing knocks the stuffing out of you it took me quite a while before I found my 'mo jo' almost walked away but so glad I didn't.
Hope police in your area are more successful.
More sheds on another site down the road were set alight last week, our local MP sent us a letter saying how he'd felt that the police, council and park police ( who I've never seen ) have let down the allotment holders. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I feel so sorry that this keeps happening Hope the police catch them
As the others have said. :BangHead:
I agree with all of the previous sentiments. Fortunately we haven't had anything to worry us other than strong winds blowing the lotty shed down.
