..for the Midlands. STRONG blustery winds expected!
I've been digging up some Jerusalem artichokes and about to cook and eat some(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-fart004.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) :icon_cheers:
If there is one crop that has done well with our horrid weather is JA's..don't know if I should :BangHead:..or :toothy10:
The row that I was supposed to clear out from JA's grew 'back'...and has done better than ever and first dig revealed 'millions' of good size tubers and even more teeny weeny ones. I doubt I get rid of them in a hurry...there is definitely more than me and slugs can ever consume...shame that slugs don't suffer with wind..that would 'fluff up' the top soil very quickly..(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing002.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
my neighbour has them just one foot from my plot and they are a flipping nuisance. She can`t give the fartychokes away
Also beware of a cold spell starting Wed/Thursday with frosts expected in Midlands

Hm..I suspect that was genuine weather warning :happy7:
Although 'fartychokes' have very 'nasty' side effects..they are utterly delicious. Taking account your warning...I better get some straw over the the row so it don't freeze over and I can carry on digging out more of my little 'wind wands' :glasses9:
