Title: Buying a walking stick
Post by: tricia on December 11, 2012, 13:20:09
I use a standard NHS walking stick but would like to have one a bit more 'stylish'. I have a birthday coming up and have been asked what I would like. Whatever I choose it will be bought on the internet so I've been doing a bit of research. Have been amazed at the variety and styles available, have read lots of reviews and am now totally confused. Who can give me some advice from personal experience please - on the pros and cons of adjustable and folding sticks and are the so-called ergonomic grips worth the extra money? Experience of a reputable internet supplier would also be good.

Thanks - Tricia

Many many many moons ago I was given an old Herdwick ram's horn.  Always been meaning to make a walking stick with it.  Yet another project I have 'on the go'. :icon_cheers:

Cheers,   Tony.

Rosebud - I have PM'd you but forgot to ask if it is right or left handed! I need a right handed stick.
