My Chocy Cake
6oz SR flour
3oz soft butter
3oz caster suger
3eggs
2oz coco powder
pinch of salt
big lump of love :toothy10:
sive all the dry stuff ,then
chuck it all in the bowl everything
mix for 2mins then put in 2 the tins lined with parchment or ready made cake liners (i love them)
put in the preheated oven 170/180 the lower for a fan oven, bake for30/40mins testing with skwer for rawness.
Cool the cakes on wire tray.
The GANASH
200grms of chocy, dark with good coco content 76% you can use a mix of milk chocy its not to bitter then,
200mls of double cream
heat the cream to just below boil point
chop up the chocy and put in a basin over some boiling water untilit melts give it a gentle stir to make sure you have all the chocy melted using a plastic or stainless steel spoons.
Now add cream to melted chocy keep stiring until it go's silky smooth .
You can put a layer of chocy in the cakes to sandwich them together and put a fresh cream filling also it makes it yummy.
put on the top of cake ,you may want to take of the rise you may have got in baking with a bread knife, then turn the cake up side down to get the smooth top,now cover with the cooling Ganash ,
if the ganash is stiff just warm up on the pan of water easy , spread over the top don't be mean, and go around the sides.now chuch in the fridge to set .decorate with grated chocy or what ever way you like. :toothy10:
