Does anyone know where I can get a small table with a glass top that I can put a piece of needlepoint under? I have googled but can't find anything.
There is a round wine table available from the link below.

The only other suggestion is to keep a lookout in charity shops
Or buy a table with a fairly thick real wood top and get a local carpenter or friend with a router to rout out a area and use a piece of plate glass to make your own.
Are you able to do bit of DIY?...perharps buying cheap table...IKEA?...and making a frame on top and getting glass cut for it.
Wickes (and other DIY places) sell picture frame type wood in different widths to cut into size..glue them on the table..bit of paint or varnish over and job done!
I do remember coming across those sort of tables in net...I just have to refresh my memory as that was some time ago..I'll see if I find it for you..
something like this?..or not so deep?

antique style or more 'craft/folk' style?
Ikea do very reasonable glass tops, all nicely rounded on the edges. Supposed to be for bedside cabinets etc. You may get a table that would fit one.
..or making your own with one of these?

Would be worth of checking if Ikea still does them or make something similar..
If you are thinking of going down the make your own glass table top route, please use safety glass and have the edges "polished".
