Title: Khaki Campbell Ducks
Post by: Gill Parks on March 05, 2005, 10:28:01
I live near Wallingford, Oxfordshire and am looking for 4-6 Khaki Campbell or Khaki Campbell Cross female ducks.
I have a duck house and a small pond - so need some ducks to make it complete.
Does anyone know where I can buy some. Ideally at point of lay.
Thanks

Hi Gill

Good choice.  I've got white campbells they are excellent layers.
Bred originally by Mrs Campbell, who also bred a particular strain of silkies which exists to this day. ;D ;D

Sorry, but not sure of suppliers in your area, try your local yellow paper

Good on you Gill!

I used to own a mallard years ago and got a lot of fun from her.  I still miss her now as she was more a pet  :'(

we used to have 3 khakis..don't want to be a wet blanket but having 3 ducks was the quickest way i found of turning  our garden into the somme.
they were lovely tho-and excellent layers...we also kept bantams-much better for us and great characters ..
