Title: Geraniums
Post by: Belladay on September 27, 2012, 08:05:28
Hi all,  Do you save your geraniums for next year?  If so, how do you store them?

I cut them back hard and then pot them in as small pot as I can, give a drink to settle them in . Keep them in a frost free place only water about twice or three times through the winter. Restart them in March. The drier they are the colder they will stand.

Thanks for that Laurie, so could I save a lot of them and put them packed tightly in one large pot?

I would not pack too many in one pot in case when they start to break in the spring they could damp off the new growth.
