I have had a foil container of stock in my freezer for about 6mths,
Is it still ok to use it. Can anyone wth certainty tell me please.
Thank you.
I often use various stock bases (chicken, fish, meat bones, etc.,) that have been in the freezer for a year - never had any ill effects.

We certainly keep stock or even made up soups for 6 months, and they're fine. The more fat there is in them, the sooner they'll start to degenerate, though.
And if we keep anything in a foil container with a laminated lid, we put it into a sealable plastic bag to keep the air out. Foil containers aren't at all airtight round the lid.
tHANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR REPLIES. i SHALL NOW USE THIS LOVELY HOMEMADE STOCK :happy7: Oppps sorry uppercase.
