Title: d**n foxes
Post by: planetearth on September 19, 2012, 14:07:39
The foxes have been digging up my lawn this week, I presume they are after worms or leather jackets.  It's definately foxes, they made a real mess but nothing as great as badgers would nor a small as squirrels.

Any ideas to deter them or otherwise solve the problem would be welcome.

We had a vixen under the shed last year and I was advised to pour Jeyes fluid on a cloth and leave that under there as they don't like strong smells.  I don't no if you could put some in shallow dishes and leave about as I don't think pouring it neat on to grass would do the grass much good.

Hi there, I had a huge problem with foxes last year when we had the drought & the clay ground was too hard for them to bury their food so they used my raised beds...I had rats, owls etc stuffed into my veg plants so had to throw all the soil out. I tried everything, nets etc but nothing worked to deter them until I poured my teenage son's wee around the edges of every bed  :tongue3: not a pleasant job carting wee to the allotment as I don't drive (son refused to go & do it directly for me, lol) but it truly worked wonders. xjane
