I was in M & S last week buying my Christmas cake & suddenly remembered about the Beneforte broccoli. At £1.99 for a small pack I decided to leave it on the shelf but wondered if anyone on A4A knew if the seeds are available yet.
I doubt they will be availabe for home growers for long while yet...if ever..(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/rolleyes.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/news/health/2011/111123-f-super-broccoli.aspx
There is so much work gone to get that variety that unless the sales slow down and they have to make money other way, I believe we just have to dream on...unless...somebody somewhere work for the farmer who grows it and is able to..errr...borrow few seed(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/biggrin.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)..and somebody else then grow those seeds and produce some more seeds..(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/wink.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-basic/angel.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)...and start their own 'black market' seed distribution :glasses9:
Just as I thought Goodlife but worth a try.
