Title: Sweet Peppers
Post by: steve1967 on September 11, 2012, 19:37:35
Hi All,

I have grown sweet peppers for a few years now. I have grown the bell type. I am looking to try a bullhorn variety next year can anyone recommend a good variety for the greenhouse.

Thanks

Steve

I've just had great success with the sweet paprika variety. Grown from seed in the greenhouse and they are doing really great.

My big bananas are doing quite well in the greenhouse, but the cayenne peppers have been great this year. I never have much luck with block peppers though. Only got two or three peppers off each plant.

Sweet Banana did well this year as a sweet pointy pepper, fo rthe smaller Italian type you might look at Frigitello, it's pretty reliable indoors, for a big mild chilli I find Numex Big Jim pretty good, for something a bit hotter adn not quite so large then Inferno...
