I put in a row of 6 autumn fruiting raspberries in the late autumn of 2010. Last year they produced very little in the way of a crop, and this year not much more.
They are healthy looking plants and they've been well fertilized and composted, yet the crop is minimal and very poor. Unfortunately I can't remember the variety which I bought from Thomson and Morgan. I do remember they were certificated as being disease free.
Is this a general thing for this year or are other people getting good results with autumn fruiting raspberries?

Sorry to boast. Having the best crop ever. Also I cut mine down to 6-8 inches every October. This I did when I had to move them one year, sometime ago, so have done it every year since. Works for me and the branches can go on the bonfire for Nov. 5th. Mine are Autumn Bliss.
The autumn raspberries really are autumn raspberries this year, in previous years I have had pickings from late june early july this year I have just started picking, not a lot of fruit in numbers but made up for by the size of the berries.
Getting good pickings off mine as well. Mine are in full sunlight on a south facing plot, don't no if that makes a differance.
Summer ones were fair but not as good as last year.
Autumn fruiting? ??? Do they?? ::)
I'll have another look when I visit tomorrow and see if my raspberries know they should. So far not really worth the walk around their long narrow bed despite taking pretty good care of them.
All mine doing very well. Joanj fruit are huge. Polka great taste. Autumn Bilss doing well. Started 5 weeks later than last year. Sorry to hear about those of you are being unsuccessful. I fed mine well. Mine seem to like the sun as well.
I cut 80% of mine down, but left a few to fruit early on. They seem to do a great deal better on our alkaline soil than summer ones.
My Polkas are croping well and are tasting better than ever before.
is this true that Polka doesn't spread as much as the other varieties? i'm thinking of replacing most of the summer ones with this as this year, they're just got a bit too much for me to manage!
also, thinking of the Glen Coe variety that's purple, but hear that's it's a bit smaller and clump-forming, but tastes good as well. Does anyone have this experience?
Glen Coe forms a giant plant, mine are some 10 ft tall!!!
