Title: multi-headed sunflower varieties
Post by: Kea on September 07, 2012, 23:47:31
I grew Russian  this year and on the plots nearby many people have multi-headed varieties and they look great but if you ask no one remembers what variety it is.
Next year I want sunflower s with lots of flowers on one stem....what variety should I choose?

I always grow dwarf sunflowers nowadays which always have multiple flowers. Now the problem I have is I also don't know the name but I always buy my dwarf sunflower seeds from Lidl.

I have lots of multiheaded ones.  PM me your addy and remind me when some of the heads are dried and I will send you some seed.  I am very absentminded so if you do not get any remind me again.

There's lots of multi-headed helianthus varieties such as Autumn Beauty, the dark one Earthwalker and Ring of Fire.  Have a look at the Chiltern Seeds listing -
