Title: Bolero apple tree
Post by: davholla on September 05, 2012, 15:01:12
I planted one 4 years ago and had the first fruit today - it is wonderful.
It is like a cross between cox, bolero and apples from heaven.
I strongly that people try it if they have space.

I hadn't heard of Bolero, I'm afraid, and had to look it up.  Is yours a so-called ballerina tree, growing in a single column?

And the (few) suppliers say it needs another early apple to pollinate it.

It's always nice to get another recommendation.  So many apples, so little space!

Yes it is a ballerina tree.  It was the first time I have ever bit into an apple and thought - wow this is amazing.
