Does anyone know the name of the Chairman of BHS? The reason I ask is that my friend (slightly more mature than I) was out shopping with her sister in law when the latter purchased a jumper from BHS. As she was a long time at the till my friend went to look for her to find out that her sister in law had been talked into taking out one of their credit/store cards. Apparently the jumper was too big so when they returned to the store to change it she was told she had to bring in the store/credit card (which she hadn't received in the post) before a refund could be given. As the lady in question is 90 years of age we both feel it is immoral for her to be "talked" into taking out a card in the first place and what the hell was the card company thinking of to allow it – the interest that would accrue as the lady would have thought she had "paid" for her purchase?

Good luck-it's sharp practise ::)
Before my mom went into a home she was offered a store card. As soon as we found out we went into the store and cancelled it. She also took out insurance with halifax because of pressure selling and she had already insured with age concern.
I get peed off with being offered store cards.
Thank you for the info Bigeroo. I have passed it on to my friend who is determined to write a sharp letter. Sadly her sistr in law feels it was her own fault in taking out the storecard and "doesn't like to make a fuss".
