Title: Low Calorie Sweet Corn?
Post by: Digeroo on August 25, 2012, 09:29:52
Had my first cob today.  Devastated that only about 25% of the nibs were full.  Ate it raw very tasty.  I think the rain washed the pollen away there was not dusting on the leaves.

:( It's such a dissapointment when this happens, usually you do not know until you are at the mouthwatering phase.

I'm going to try powershucking my corn this year.... I need loose kernels for pizzas, pasta sauces  and chillis, so I'll try an internet technique I've seen with a drill and  an applecorer to see if it works.... I have other options... I could make a press with a tubular shank and just run that down them....
