This year has been poor for growing tomatoes outside because it has been too wet. Last year was poor because it was too dry. Nevertheless both years have been brilliant for growing tomatoes in the greenhouse.
I have always gone for varieties that can be grown indoors and out but in future willnot bother with outdoor varieties. At present I grow Tigerella which are good, a reasonable size and have a nice taste.
Can anybody recommend a variety of indoors-only tomato which is of reasonable size - not cheery or beefsteak and not F1 as I save seed every year. Above all they should be a good flavour.
san marzano are good, as are golden sunrise & red pear
