Hello everybody!
I'm curious for your opinion and your experience.
I am a bit tired of getting weed out of a (in my eyes) enormous walled garden. I cannot keep up with the weed that is growing there.
Everybody has had difficulties this year and so did I: weather, slugs, rabbits. And living in North Yorkshire, the summer is rather short! So, my idea is to built a polytunnel and hopefully next year everything will grow a bit better and maybe less weed? In mind I have a tunnel with the size 6 ft wide and about 40 ft lenght. What are the best options and which fabric is the best?
Get the biggest (widest) that you can fit and afford in. You will always run out of room no matter how much space you have.
If you are building the frame yourself..I would always recommend getting proper polytunnel polythene to cover it as any other coverings just won't last for long...sun and cold can turn them brittle and strong winds just finish rest of it off. Just 'plain' clear cover is fine for basic needs and if you should need any additional shading..secondhand builders netting spread over and tied down with ropes and tent pegs will do the job temporarely over the summer months ..or few weeks ::)
I bought mine from here .... http://www.firsttunnels.co.uk/
I erected it in SW France in 2005 and it's still going strong, despite the strong sunshine here. I reckon the polythene has several more years left.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, Roy!
Only gardening in SW France or living there?
