Title: Aubergines
Post by: caroline7758 on August 08, 2012, 21:17:31
I have several aubergine plants which I should have potted on but haven't. They are now starting to set fruit. Should I pot them on or would it be too much of a shock for them now? i think the pots they are in are about 5" and the plants are about 18" tall.

Oooh that's a tough one at this time of year and with the current weather conditions. Personally I would divide what you have by three. Put one lot in the ground, repot another third by the twisting the original pot in a larger pot of compost method before taking out of the original, and leaving the last third in their pots. Cross your fingers and feed all three methods well  :)

Mine are all in the ground, both in the greenhouse and at the plot. Flowers on both but they need warmth  ::)

Good luck,

Ninny

Forgot to mention they are in the greenhouse, so don't think I'll risk putting them outside. Will pot on a couple and see what happens!
