Post by: qahtan on July 23, 2012, 18:27:38
well much to my surprise we did/are getting quite a few plums Ozark Premier
lovely plums similar to English Victoria, only thank goodness we don't seem to get
that grizzle stuff inside like some Victoria, the only problem we seem to have this year is the the Blue Jays also likethem, but good peck on each one to see if the next one will be sweeter, blighters  , runner beans nothing, :(   qahtan

Yours are early compared with ours.  But we won't do too badly this year in spite of some unfortunate frosts and gales when the plums were flowering.

Overall it's been a super year for fruit.

Lucky you, but birds doing that are always a problem.
Nor me with runner beans, and I've just sowed another lot in the vague hope that they germinate, grow and I actually get to harvest some in late October!
