found this little chap in the garden today, never seen one this colour?

I've been trying really hard trying to get wildlife into my plot.  I now have two small ponds in the hope that I would encourage frogs to eat the slugs and snails.  I think it is working (see photo of the frog in the link below):

I think the frog's colour may be due to it having spent quite a bit of time out of water and in the warmth. Given time it will darken again. It looks like a common European frog...as I believe most if not all of our native ones are.

The beetroot / chocolate cake looks great - I may be tempted to try that recipe out the next time I lift a big beetroot.

Did you great or chop the beetroot before mixing or just plonk it in a blender?
