I was given bag of mix chilli seeds by one chilli seed company as freebie...could I resist to sow some.. ;D
One of them is starting to look very interesting and it has good setting of fruit already.
Now..does it look familiar to you?..or any ideas what it might be?
Photo is not the best as I tried to get the flower to show..but the fruit is looking very habanero like..but it started turn purply-black very early on after the flower set into fruit...it hardly had any green stage.
Black may not be the final colour, as some then go a dark red or brown.
Some then go from black (or purple) to green, yellow, orange then red.
I'm not sure what these are though.
The only black ones I have seen are jalapeno shaped.
What size are they?
It may be too early to say but they look habanero/Scotch Bonnet shaped. If so, beware, they will be super duper hot. Those varieties as well as being extra hot also have a lovely lime flavour.
