Title: Purple spots on broad beans
Post by: cestrian on July 01, 2012, 19:28:30
I have got purple spots on the leaves of my broad bean plants. Apart from that they have flowered and seem quite healthy.

Has anyone else seen this?

I've not seen purple spots, but I wonder if it could be chocolate spot? Here's a link to RHS page describing it http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=89

I've seen it many times, though I don't have any this year. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to inhibit them.

That's good to know Robert. I was a bit worried about chocolate spot. That looks like a nightmare.
