Title: Rescue of a wonderful Aeonium
Post by: carosanto on June 29, 2012, 19:20:13
Please help me.  My wonderful 3ft Aeonium with loads of rosettes suffered dreadfully by being left in the conservatory for 5 days during the long-forgotten heatwave back along.  It is still 3ft tall, with 4 remaining rosettes, the others having died off.

I so loved this plant, and cannot bear to just dispose of it.  Does anyone know how to take the last remaining rosettes as cuttings?  It is a mere skeleton and reproaches me every time I go outside the conservatory where it now lives.

Regards, Caro

Just cut the stems about six to eight inches down leaving the rosette on top. Let the end of the cutting dry, even leaving it exposed for 24hrs will do no harm.

Then plant in free draining compost, water, amd leaves somewhere bright but out of full sun.

Should root in a couple of weeks. They root quite easily so you should be able to save your plant without too much trouble. ;)
