Title: Leek Rust
Post by: InfraDig on June 26, 2012, 08:51:17
I have a pot of Musselburgh leeks that have got a lot of "rust", presumably from the garlic. Do I just throw them away?

Thanks.

As Saddad says if they are just seedlings then get rid of them by burning as the rust will develup faster than the growth.
If they are a decent size and the rust is on the outside leaves you could try cutting them off below the rust as you are going to loose these leves anyway.
