My cabbages are about ready to pull in one of my raised beds. Any suggestions what to plant in their place? I also have onions and courgettes in the bed.
PSB, B sprouts, Greyhound cabbage?
Dwarf beans carrots,salad leaves?

Thanks for that. Took me a while to realize what PSB was. Cheers! ;)
Mine have just gone in!
how many times do you plant brassicas in the same bed? The most I have done is twice ie caulies and small cabbages after spring cabbages. So far so good as everything is growing and looking very healthy but it was a one off for me that I will probably now repeat next year
I don't want to put more brassicas in after reading of the viral risk. It's my first year with these raised beds so I want to do it a right as I can. I'll have to have a think about it.
What about salads, beetroot, carrots, more courgettes. Green manure.

I like the idea of beetroot and salads. I had carrots and parsnips in tubs last year, but all we got were champion heads! ::) Nothing developed beyond two inches. More courgettes? I might go for that. :)
We try to rotate as much as we can to avoid the build up of relative diseases

Yes, my other raised bed is full of spuds and sugar-snap peas, growing jungle-like. I shall switch the spuds to the other bed next year. I suppose I should have three raised beds to improve rotation. No space unfortunately. :(

I plant in the same bed for a year meaning there is sometimes a double insert of brassicas. As I have 4 large beds, there is a 3 year gap to allow for rotation
