Title: What weed?
Post by: Chrispy on June 21, 2012, 08:57:15
Anybody know what this is?

It is only on one plot, so guessing it is something that has been sown and got out of control rather than something that has been blown in.

This is on a neighbours plot.

The conversation goes something like this.....

    Any idea what this is?
No, you will have to wait till it flowers to tell.
Can you see how much there is? It's not going to have a ******* chance to flower

So no, no flowers, next time I am there I may have a little taste.

I don't know its name but I confirm it is a weed, it pulls out very easily. Get rid of it as it quickly spreads.

..yes, seeds go everywhere.. ::)..it looks very much like what I've got.. ::)
But they are easily chopped down and turned into soil..its annual weed and not a trouble as such.

Found out why the weed is only on the one plot.
I spoke to the chap who had the plot previously (he still has a plot but also health problems so don't see so much of him).

He said it was a woodland plant which comes with the manure.
So now I know why is soil is so good, add manure with it's own follow on green manure.
