Hi folks
I was thinking about heading up to Wilcos tomorrow to see if they've got any seed spuds left for growing christmas potatoes with. If they do still have them, does anyone see anything wrong with using them this late?
Cheers
Gord
We had some vanessa earlies left over so I've put them in a potato bag to see what happens :)
I'll be looking for some Red Duke of York in a month or so, they're the classic.... they can have som ebig pots and move into the GH when the weather gets too grim outdoors.... blight allowing I'd hope to have some new spuds for Chrimbo when I head back to the family.... Also growing King Edwards this year, we've got quite limey soil anyway so I'm hoping that they do OK, chalky Edwards are a bit of a classic after all.... Wabol I'll supply the spuds, carrots, parsnips and sprouts... the classic combo) for Christmas dinner...
