Title: Chillis peppers aubergines

I have started to grow some of the above
Do I have to do anything like pinching out side shoots like you do with tomatoes

No leave the peppers to grow naturally. some people take out the first flower to form but it really isn't nessasary. Let the insects in to polinate the flowers though.

For aubergines it is recommended to pinch out the growing tip at around 9-12 inches (20-30cm) so they carry fruit on the shoots that break after the stopping.

For large aubergines restrict the fruit to between 4 -
6 per plant depending on the size of the plant. Small fruited varieties can bear many more fruit.
